FEATURED PRODUCTS - PH METERS

Labmate Hand-held pH Meter Model P-II $21.50

Labmate Hand-held pH Meter Model P-III (ATC) $26.00

p2p3

How to Use it:

1. Remove the protective cap and switch on the unit.

2. Before using, the electrode must be cleaned by distilled or deionied water to minimize contamination.  Wipe the electrode with tissue paper.  During the first time to use, before measuring a sample solution, dip the electrode in the pH 7 buffer solution.  If the display does not show between 6.9 and/or 7.1, you should adjust the trimmer on the back of the meter with a screw driver to pH 7.0 (at 25 ºC).  Rinse the electrode with distilled water and wipe it with tissue paper, then you have acquired a read-to use pH meter.

3.  Dip the electrode into the sample solution.  Stir gently and wait for approx. 5 minutes, then the pH value will become stable.

4. After using, wash the electrode again with distilled or deionied water, then wipe it with tissue paper and switch off the unit.  Store the electrode with a few drops of pH 7.0 buffer solution, then replace the protective cap.

5. If the unit cannot be switched on or the display fades, replace all the batteries with attention to their polarity.

6.  When operating above 50 ºC, warm the pH 7.0 buffer solution to the temperature of the sample solution, then calibrate the meter by adjusting the trimmer.

Four Models to Choose from, Starting $28.00, Click to See Details

How to Use it:

1) Remove protective cap from bottom (see product layout).

2) To switch on the unit, slide the "ON/OFF" switch located on top of the tester to "ON".

3) Dip tester into sample solution up to the immersion level as shown.

4) Stir gently to remove bubbles and wait for 2 minutes to allow a full temperature compensation readout.

5) Always rinse with distilled water, blot dry before and after each test.

6) Switch off the tester and replace protective cap before storing away.

NOTES:

In the presence of certain radio transmitters, this product may produce erroneous readings.  If this occurs then measurement should be repeated at another location.

It is recommended to check meter every three months for accuracy:

1) Rinse the electrode with clean water and wipe it dry.  Immerse the electrode in the calibration solution.  Stir gently and wait until the display stabilized.

2) Adjust the reading to standard calibration solutions for ppm, ppt, uS/cm, mS/cm at 25 ºC by tuning the trimmer located at the back of meter with a screwdriver.

3) Read the measurement on the display.  The reading should be multiplied by a factor for ppm, ppt, uS, mS/cm.

MAINTENANCE

1) Replace all four batteries if the display becomes faint or disappears.  Pull out the battery case (see layout) and replace batteries accordingly.

2) If pin electrode is dirty, clean by rinsing it in alcohol for a few minutes.

3) Do not touch or scratch the pin electrode.
